Christopher Abbott turns into a werewolf in the official trailer of Wolf Man, the new horror film from Blumhouse.
Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for Wolf Man, a remake produced by Blumhouse (the famous American production company specializing in the production of horror films) of the 1941 film of the same name directed by George Waggner. The new version of the story, directed by Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man), stars Christopher Abbott (Girls, Poor Creatures!) and Ozark and Inventing star Anna Julia Garner. The film will be released in Italian theaters on January 16, 2025.
The plot and the official trailer of Wolf Man
Written by Leigh Whannell himself together with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, the remake of Wolf Man follows Blake, a husband and father from San Francisco, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his father disappears and is presumed dead.
As his marriage to Charlotte, a more powerful woman than he is begins to fray, Blake convinces Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger. But when the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they are attacked by an unseen animal, and, in a desperate escape, they barricade themselves inside the house as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night progresses, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte must decide if the terror inside their home is more deadly than the danger outside.
Wolf Man also stars Matilda Firth (Hullraisers, Coma), Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama) and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man). The film was produced by director Leigh Whannell himself along with Ryan Gosling (who was originally cast as the lead) and Jason Blum. Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, and Mel Turner served as executive producers.
