Neon has released the official trailer for The Monkey, a horror film written and directed by Osgood Perkins and based on an original story by Stephen King. Starring Theo James (The Gentlemen), Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk), and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), the film will be released in American theaters on February 21, 2025. The Italian release date is currently unknown.

The Monkey follows the adventures of a pair of brothers, Hal and Bill, who discover an old toy monkey – owned by their father – in the attic. An event that will trigger mysterious deaths. The brothers decide to throw the monkey away and move on with their lives, moving away over the years. When the mysterious deaths begin to occur again, the brothers must band together again to find a way to destroy the monkey forever before everyone around them dies.
The Monkey also stars Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth), Colin O’Brien (Wonka), Rohan Campbell (The Hardy Boys), and Sarah Levy (Schitt’s Creek). The project was produced by Aquaman director James Wan through his Atomic Monster banner, in association with C2 Motion Picture Group.
