Manganiello spoils an important scene in the Alabasta arc with his profile banner
After announcing his role as Sir Crocodile, Joe Manganiello has adapted his profile on X (formerly Twitter) to the character. With a new profile banner and a short profile description, the actor slips even deeper into the role of the popular antagonist.
Manganiello also spoils one of the most important scenes of the Alabasta arc: the fight between Luffy and Crocodile.
What exactly does the scene in the profile banner show? In the Alabasta arc, a fight takes place between Luffy and Crocodile. Crocodile uses his sand skills and gains the upper hand in the fight against Luffy's rubber powers.
When a tricky moment occurs and Crocodile is about to carry out his dark machinations, Luffy tries to stop him. Unfortunately, the Straw Hat becomes careless and Crocodile pierces him with his hook hand.
When it was broadcast at the time, it was a cliffhanger that fans had not expected and Luffy's fate remained uncertain for some time afterwards.
Joe Manganiello's banner on his X-Account shows the shocking moment in the Alabasta arc when Crocodile triumphs over Luffy and critically wounds the Straw Hat. However, since Alabasta will not be a confirmed arc in the second season, the picture is a real spoiler about what will happen to Luffy in the future.
Manganiello has done his homework
In an interview, the actor already revealed that he has dealt intensively with the character of Crocodile in order to be able to embody the antagonist as well as possible.
Manganiello described Crocodile as the alternate future that Luffy would have expected if the Straw Hat had strayed from the path and taken a dark direction.
