The film is currently in pre-production, while Netflix has yet to officially release any casting or other details.

The new film will also feature a stellar cast that includes Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Jared Harris, Greta Lee, Tracy Letts, Moses Ingram, Anthony Ramos, and Gabriel Basso. The plot and title of the Netflix project remain under wraps, but sources indicate that the film will be set in the White House during a national crisis.

This production marks Kathryn Bigelow’s return to feature film direction after 2017’s Detroit, a historical drama that focused on the 1967 Detroit race riots. Anticipation for the new Netflix thriller is high, given the success of the director’s previous works.

Jason Clarke recently starred in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer for Best Picture, as well as appearing in HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and the Apple TV+ series The Last Frontier.
