The first drama series in the history of the sci-fi horror monument series "Alien", and "Alien: Earth", will finally be released in 2025. One of the main characters in this work, which is still shrouded in mystery, is played by Indian actor Adarsh Gaurav, who attracted attention in the Netflix movie "The White Tiger" (2021). "Alien: Earth" will be his first sci-fi horror role, having previously appeared in Apple TV+'s "Extrapolations: The Immediate Future" (2023) and "And the Lost One" (2023).
In Variety, Gaurav said, "I'm really happy to be able to participate in a sci-fi horror and psychological thriller series because it's something that really excites me as an actor." "I don't have much knowledge of sci-fi, but I'm familiar with psychological thrillers and horror as an audience."
The cast includes Sydney Chandler from Don't Worry Darling (2022), Timothy Olyphant from The Book of Boba Fett, Alex Lawther from The End of the F***ing World, Essie Davis from Nitram (2021), David Rysdahl from Fargo Season 5, and Sandra E. Sensinger from Geek Girls (2024). Attention is focused on what kind of horror the unique ensemble will portray.
The showrunner, writer, and director will be Noah Hawley from Fargo (2014-) and Legion (2017-2019), and Ridley Scott, the creator of the Alien series, will participate as executive producer. The series is already expected to have two or more seasons, and John Landgraf, CEO of FX, the US network in charge of production and broadcast, expressed confidence, saying he was "pretty bullish."
