"Godzilla" director depicts the story five years after "The New Ruler"
Filming of "Jurassic World: Rebirth", the latest film in the "Jurassic World" series, seems to have been completed. Producer Frank Marshall reported this on his Instagram. A new chapter follows "Jurassic World" (2015), "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" (2018), and "Jurassic World: New Ruler" (2022). The cast has been completely renewed, with Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow in "The Avengers", Jonathan Bailey from the "Bridgerton Family", and Mahershala Ali from "Green Book" (2018) appearing.
The story is set five years after "Jurassic World: New Ruler", in a world where it has become clear that the Earth's environment is not receptive to dinosaurs. Only a limited number of dinosaurs survive in an isolated equatorial environment similar to the one in which they once thrived. Three of them in this tropical biosphere hold the key to a miraculous, life-saving drug for humanity... Marshall posted a photo of a box with the words "JURASSIC WORLD" on it, along with the comment "Filming finished!". The location where the film was shot was tagged as Sky Studios Elstree in England.
Marshall is a producer who worked on the three Jurassic World films and is a veteran of the film industry since Paper Moon in 1973. The director is Gareth Edwards, who portrayed giant creatures in Monsters (2010) and Godzilla (2014). The film will be released in the US on July 2, 2025, and will soon enter post-production. Director Edwards is known for his natural fusion of filmed footage and CG objects. We look forward to seeing Edwards' skills in action and creating a realistic dinosaur world like no other we've seen before.
