Alfonso Cuarón's series starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, and Sacha Baron Cohen is coming to Apple TV+ on October 11

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for Disclaimer, the psychological thriller starring Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline and Oscar nominee Sacha Baron Cohen. Written and directed by five-time Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón, the series will debut on Apple's streaming service on October 11 with the first two episodes of a seven-episode run, followed by new episodes every Friday through November 15. The series premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September.

Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Cate Blanchett) has built her reputation by exposing the wrongdoings and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to discover that she is the protagonist of a story that exposes her darkest secrets and threatens to destroy her family. As Catherine races against time to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys her life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee). The cast includes Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, and Hoyeon and features Indira Varma as the narrator.

Produced by Apple Studios, Disclaimer is co-produced by Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content. Cuarón serves as executive producer for Esperanto Filmoj alongside Gabriela Rodriguez. In addition to starring, Blanchett serves as executive producer. David Levine and the late Steve Golin serve as executive producers for Anonymous Content. Academy Award winners Emmanuel Lubezki, Donald Sabourin, and Carlos Morales also serve as executive producers.

Disclaimer is based on the novel of the same name by Renée Knight, who serves as co-executive producer. Lubezki and Academy Award nominee Bruno Delbonnel are directors of photography. The score is composed by multiple Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Finneas O’Connell.
