As reported by Deadline, the horror TV series created by Don Mancini and based on the Child's Play franchise has been canceled after three seasons by the American network Syfy. Starring Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Jennifer Tilly, the show serves as a sequel to Cult of Chucky, the seventh film in the franchise.

Following the official cancellation, the creator of Chucky expressed his disappointment in a short note. "I am saddened by the news that Chucky will not be returning for a fourth season, but I am very grateful for the three amazing years we have had. I would like to thank UCP, Syfy, Peacock, Eat the Cat, our amazing cast, the Toronto crew (the best in the business), and finally, our amazing fans, a big bloody hug. Your incredible #RenewChucky campaign has truly warmed Chucky’s cold heart. Chucky will be back! He will ALWAYS be back.” The third and final season will air starting tonight on Italia 1, in the late evening.
