The recent cancellation of the series My Lady Jane by Prime Video has sparked a wave of reactions among fans, who have started a social media campaign and a petition to save it. The series, based on a historical reinterpretation of Lady Jane Grey, has received good reviews from critics and a significant following among viewers, but was interrupted just seven weeks after its debut.

Martin concluded his message by wishing fans good luck and stating that My Lady Jane certainly deserves better

Giving further weight to the campaign to save the show is the intervention of George R.R. Martin, famous author of the saga Game of Thrones. Martin, in his personal blog, expressed his support for My Lady Jane, describing it as an original and witty production that particularly struck him for its alternative interpretation of English history, in a fantasy world populated by witches and shapeshifters.

Martin's support also extended to Meredith Glynn, one of the show's showrunners, with whom he collaborated in the past on a Game of Thrones spin-off. In his statement, Martin praised the creative work behind the show, comparing it in originality and tone to the series The Great. He also expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of fans who, in a short time, started a petition on Change.org to keep production of My Lady Jane going, gathering tens of thousands of signatures.

Despite positive reactions from viewers and a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the cancellation of the show by Prime Video was seen as unexpected and disappointing. However, thanks to the interest shown by fans and the support of influential figures like Martin, there is still hope that the series can be saved.
