Team Asobi took part in the new State of Play to release the trailer for the Astro Bot DLC that will be released for free this fall on PS5, introducing 5 speedrun levels to the game.
The Japanese development team shared the following statements in a post on the PlayStation Blog:
“First of all, we wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love and positive comments we’ve received since the game’s release on September 6th. We couldn’t be happier with the reception, and the little robots at Team Asobi almost short-circuited from tears of joy! We also laughed a lot at the many funny videos of the game that we saw pop up. We’re happy that we were able to bring a little digital sunshine to homes around the world. For all your support, trust, and kindness, and from all of us at Team Asobi, doumo arigatou gozaimasu (thank you so much)!”
Team Asobi went on to add that Astro Bot will be getting 5 new speedrun levels this fall, at no additional cost, while also allowing fans to rescue 10 new Special Bots, which can be earned by beating the cheeky birds that race against Astro. We’re thrilled to welcome the Helldivers team to bring super democracy to the crash site, as well as Eve from the wonderfully delicious PS5 hit Stellar Blade! You’ll have to find out who the others are! Team Asobi added that there will be leaderboards, so you can compete online with the entire community or your friends on PlayStation.
