Netflix, with a teaser trailer, has revealed to the world the first official images of the animated series Terminator Zero, also revealing its release date. Netflix has released the teaser trailer for Terminator Zero, the animated series that serves as the new chapter in the film franchise created by James Cameron. Created and executive produced by Mattson Tomlin (Project Power, The Batman II) for Skydance Animation and Production I.G., the show will debut on the platform with all eight episodes on August 29th.

2022: A future war has been raging for decades between the few human survivors and an endless army of machines. 1997: The artificial intelligence known as Skynet gains self-awareness and begins its war against humanity, meanwhile a soldier sent back in time arrives in 1997 to protect a scientist named Malcolm Lee who works to launch a new system of artificial intelligence designed to compete with Skynet's impending attack on humanity. As Malcolm grapples with the moral complexities of his creation, he is hunted by a relentless assassin from the future who forever alters the fate of his three children.

The voice cast of Terminator Zero includes Timothy Olyphant as Terminator, Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka, Common Ground) as Kokoro, André Holland as Malcolm Lee, Sonoya Mizuno (House of the Dragon, Crazy Rich Asians) as Eiko, and Ann Dowd (The Handmaid's Tale, MASS) as The Prophet. All eight episodes were directed by Masashi Kudo.
