Meanwhile, the theatrical rights of Double Smart were sold at a huge price. The producers thought to sell the rights as first areas. But there is still a dispute between producers and distributors regarding Puri Jagannath's last film Ligar. Due to this, the producer Charmi is inclined to sell double smart rights out of the rate. In this context, Prime Show Entertainments has acquired Double Smart Theatrical Rights. Producer Niranjan Reddy paid the worldwide theatrical rights for Rs. Bought for 54 crores.
After a disaster like Ligar, Puri's movie is rated as much as Ram and Puri's combo craze. Smart Shankar has brought good profits to distributors and producers. Double has made Rs. 54 crores with only theatrical rights, so OTT and satellite rights remain. As they are also likely to command a huge price, the producers Puri and Charmy are likely to get a bit tough. The film, whose audio rights have been acquired by Aditya Music, will hit the theaters worldwide on August 15 as an Independence Day gift.
