The Penguin, the highly anticipated sequel series to The Batman, will debut on MAX next September: here is the new trailer!
MAX has released a new trailer for The Penguin, the highly anticipated TV series sequel to The Batman centered on the Gotham criminal played by Colin Farrell. Consisting of eight episodes and ordered more than a year ago, the show was written by Lauren LeFranc and executive produced by Farrell himself together with Matt Reeves.
Set in a Gotham after the Riddler's flood, The Penguin will explore the city's criminal underworld, with Colin Farrell at the center of the story. The trailer published by HBO Max, suggests the villain's attempt to take control of the criminal world after the disappearance of Carmine Falcone. The series will be released next fall.
In addition to Colin Farrell, the cast of The Penguin includes Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother) as Sofia Falcone, daughter of crime boss Carmine Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel's Runaways), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse) and Deirdre O'Connell (Outer Range). Recurring roles include Clancy Brown as the mafioso Salvatore Maroni; Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Carmine Falcone, Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy), Scott Cohen (Gilmore Girls), James Madio (The Offer), Carmen Ejogo (Your Honor), François Chau (The Expanse ) and David H. Holmes (High Fidelity).
