Eagle Pictures has released a new official trailer for The Exorcism, a horror film directed by Joshua John Miller and starring Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe, his second horror film in the last year after The Pope's Exorcist. Written by the director himself together with M. A. Fortin, the film will debut in Italian cinemas on May 30th.

Anthony Miller (Russell Crowe) is an actor now adrift, tormented by the demons of his past. When he finally lands a starring role in a horror film about exorcisms, Anthony seems to get back in touch with reality, even mending his complex relationship with his teenage daughter. During filming, however, disturbing phenomena begin to occur on the film set, dragging Anthony into an abyss of madness. Scene after scene, the man's behavior becomes more and more sinister, making him a dangerous threat even to his daughter. What terrifying mystery hovers over the film set and its protagonists? What dark secret lies in Anthony's past? But above all, could there be a demon that wants to take possession of him?
