Black Widow and Indiana Jones actor Olivier Richters will play Paulie in Reacher.
The third season of Reacher is about to bring one of the most iconic villains of the series to the screen, based on the novel Persuader by Lee Child. This time, the hero Jack Reacher will face a massive conspiracy in Maine, with an antagonist named Paulie who will represent one of the protagonist's greatest challenges.
In Persuader, Child describes Paulie as "at least six inches taller than Reacher, 10 inches wider, and 200 pounds heavier." Dutch actor and bodybuilder Olivier Richters was cast as Paulie, a character who, according to Child's description, surpasses Reacher in height, width, and weight. Richters, known for his roles in films such as Black Widow and Indiana Jones: The Big Dial, stands 7'2" tall and weighs over 300 pounds, perfectly embodying the physical imposingness of Paulie's character.
Richters' casting was announced by CinemaBlend, who obtained confirmation during an interview with Anthony Michael Hall, one of the protagonists of the third season. Hall compared Richters to the Jaws character in the James Bond films, highlighting the epic battle that will take place between the two on the show.
While an official release date for Reacher Season 3 has yet to be announced, it is likely to arrive in early 2025.
