The first official image of The Apprentice has been released, the film in which Sebastian Stan plays a young Donald Trump.

After the announcement that it will be one of the films that will be presented at the now 2024 Cannes Film Festival, the first official image of The Apprentice has been released, a film directed by Ali Abbasi (director of the finale of the first season of The Last of Us and of film Holy Spider) and starring Sebastian Stan in the role of the young Donald Trump, the famous American billionaire and former president of the United States of America.

Co-written by Ali Abbasi himself with Gabriel Sherman, The Apprentice will follow Donald Trump's entry into the real estate business in the 1970s and 1980s, chronicling his rise to power. In the first image of the film, we see Sebastian Stan intent on making a phone call from the edge of his car. Alongside him is Jeremy Strong, Kendall Roy from the acclaimed Succession series, who plays Roy Cohn, Trump's mentor.
The Apprentice also stars Maria Bakalova as Ivana Trump, Donald Trump's first wife, Martin Donovan, Patch Darragh, Stuart Hughes, Eoin Duffy, and Chloe Madison. The synopsis of the film reads: “We are in New York between the seventies and eighties and Trump is an ambitious entrepreneur. He began building his real estate empire in those years and helping him was the central figure of Roy Cohn, a New York lawyer known for having worked with Joseph McCarthy during the second "Red Scare", a period of anti-communism in the United States at the of the fifties. Cohn becomes his mentor and thanks to him the foundations are laid for the birth of an American dynasty of power, corruption, and deceit."
