Thunderbolts is without a doubt one of the most anticipated Marvel projects of recent years: we are in fact talking about a decidedly atypical film given that it is the first title that features some antagonists as protagonists in the world of The House of Ideas. Well, all the various characters i.e. Red Guardian, Ghost, Us Agent, Winter Soldier, Taskmaster, and Yelena Belova have been introduced both in some MCU films and in some series, with obviously the initial (and also final) objective of including them right within this realization. Having said that, ever since we found out about the production of the film, there has been a lot of speculation about the cine-comic, to the point that two names have been mentioned who, all things considered, do not seem to officially be part of the cast: Harrison Ford and Daniel Brühl, in the roles of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Zemo.

Thunderbolts is coming in July 2025

To confirm this possible absence in Thunderbolts, Wyatt Russell himself recently intervened and embodied the part of John Walker in the work in question. In an interview for People in the presence of his father Kurt, while they were talking about Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the young actor was asked what he thought of the presence of Ford and Brühl and the star limited himself to answering like this:

“Daniel won't be, [but] he might have a role in it. I do not know. I haven't read the script yet, but I'm not sure yet. Harrison will be in Captain America 4, I think. I don't know, I haven't read the script, so I don't know who exactly is in it. I know Florence is there, I know Sebastian is there. I know David Harbor will be there. David Harbor is another really good guy. I love everything he does.."

We remind you that Thunderbolts, directed by Jake Schreier, should arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025.
